Degradable containers

Root Pouch containers from Averna and Associates are made from polyethylene terephthalate (PETE), which comes from recycled plastic beverage bottles. The manufacturing process turns the plastic into non-woven fabric which is used to make a full line of nursery containers including propagation liners and various sizes of plantable pouches. The containers are available in different densities and degradable life spans. Plants grown in Root Pouch containers produce more fibrous roots that do not circle the pots. The Root Pouch needs 60 percent less space for storage or shipping. The fabric containers have no sharp edges so there is less chance for damage in transit and no cracked pots.
