Over 10 years in the making, Yuki Cherry Blossom deutzia
is the first-ever ‘Nikko’-type deutzia with pink flowers. This dwarf
plant is loved for its shower of elegant pink flowers that creates a
vibrant carpet of color. With its neat, mounded habit and
burgundy-purple fall color, it makes an excellent groundcover,
especially on a sunny slope. This tough, adaptable plant grows just
1 to 2 feet tall and wide and is deer resistant.
In September 2016, Yuki Cherry Blossom was awarded a Silver Medal from
The Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society at the 34th Annual Plantarium
show held in the Netherlands. This deutzia is the breeding of
Dr. Tom Ranney, a professor and researcher at North Carolina State
University.
