Village Nurseries, a specialty wholesale grower for landscape professionals, announced it has signed a licensing agreement with PlantHaven Inc. to grow unique plant offerings from selected worldwide breeders. The agreement covers the American Southwest market.
“We are one of an exclusive group of wholesale nurseries with whom PlantHaven has signed a licensing agreement to grow and market select varieties,” stated David House, Village Nurseries CEO. “We’re excited to add them to our roster of partnerships with outstanding plant breeders such as Monrovia, Tesselaar Plants and Lacebark Horticulture Research.
“We’ve identified Village Nurseries as the ‘go-to’ wholesale nursery for landscape architects and designers,” said Geoff Needham, president and co-founder of PlantHaven. “By providing greater diversity and choices of superior plants to replace tired old standbys, their landscape professional customers can more easily differentiate their work from the everyday sameness of their competitors.”
Most of the PlantHaven varieties Village Nurseries is growing won’t be available until 2012. However, a few select plants will be available in Q3, 2011, including Abelia Kaleidoscope, Buxus Golden Dream, Ceanothust El Dorado, Rosmarinus Roman Beauty and Agapanthus Gold Strike, among others.
