WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Valent Professional Products announced today that Tourney Fungicide has received a supplemental label for use on ornamental plants in outdoor nursery and landscape settings.
Tourney controls a broad spectrum of diseases, including powdery mildew, apple scab, rusts, leaf spots, anthracnose and Rhizoctonia. An active fungicide even at low use rates, Tourney also provides nursery growers and lawn care operators (LCOs) with best-in-class performance and a tool for their preventive disease control programs.
Available for use as a foliar spray or soil drench for root and crown diseases, Tourney offers growers application flexibility and the ability to control multiple diseases with one product. It also allows for multiple applications for extended residual control.
“Nursery growers and LCOs no longer need three or four fungicides to deal with all of the diseases they face,” says Jill Calabro, plant pathologist for Valent Professional Products. “That promises to save growers and LCOs both time and money – two of their most precious commodities.”
The supplemental label for Tourney applies to all states except California and New York, where the label is pending approval.
