A three-day course led by Randy Zondag from Ohio State University and Alan Siewert from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will be held at the Holden Arboretum near Kirtland, Ohio, in late March for anyone who purchases, plants or cares for trees in a commercial or public landscape.
The course takes place March 24-26 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Holden Arboretum Horticulture Science Center, 9717 Mitchells Mill Rd., Chardon Township, (Kirtland), Ohio. It costs $180 per person for all three days.
The course is divided between classroom and hands-on outdoor learning experiences. City service directors, tree commission members, cemetery workers, professional groundskeepers, and school groundskeepers should consider attending this program.
Participants are asked to dress for the weather and bring proper pruning tools (pruning saw, hand pruner, pole pruner, pole saw) and eye protection. The class is limited to the first 35 paid applicants.

The class qualifies for 15 Arborist CEUs, and typically fills to capacity early. Registration ends March 19.
