Terra Nova announces new echinacea varieties

The 'Meteor' series will include three new varieties; two available now, one later this season.


Echinacea ‘Meteor Red’ CANBY, Ore. -- Terra Nova Nurseries has announced a brand new collection of Echinacea varieties called the Echinacea Meteor Series. Echinacea ‘Meteor Yellow’ and Echinacea ‘Meteor Red’ are currently available to growers, while Echinacea ‘Meteor Pink’ will be released later this season. As a whole, this series produces non-fading blooms and has plants with strong stems that do not require staking.

 

Echinacea ‘Meteor Yellow’ produces lovely, double-yellow anemone-type flowers with an upright compact habit. It also has a good branching and generates multiple stems of blooms during the summer and fall seasons. ‘Meteor Yellow’ is perfect for the middle of the border. This bright beauty has great vigor and bloom power.
 
Echinacea ‘Meteor Red’ has charming double-red anemone-type flowers with an upright compact habit. It has offers strong branching and produces multiple stems of blooms from July through October. ‘Meteor Red’ grows in zones 4 – 9 and is deer-resistant, drought-tolerant, and fragrant.
