T-Y Nursery recently announced several changes to its sales staff, including the addition of a new director of sales, JoAnne Shurlock. Shurlock comes to T-Y Nursery with 40 years experience in the wholesale nursery industry. Her role will entail directing the sales efforts of T-Y Nursery’s sales team.
Attracted to T-Y Nursery for its sheer mass and size, Shurlock acknowledges and embraces the challenge of modernizing its current processes. She says she’s “looking forward to many exciting changes ahead. T-Y Nursery customers can look forward to an updated version of the original nursery concept.”
Hailing from Nakase Brothers Wholesale Nursery, Shurlock has experience working alongside current T-Y Nursery customers, Star Nursery and Houston Garden Center.
Other additions and changes to the sales and customer service team include Carmen Renteria (administrative assistant), Isidro Rizo (promoted to sales and customer service), and Maria ‘Candy’ Alba (promoted to sales and customer service). They will be joining current sales manager / quality control, Amy Vowell.
Spring has been a time for growth at T-Y Nursery...and not just in its yards. T-Y also hired these four new team members in other areas of the business.
