
FreemanGILROY, Calif. -- Syngenta Flowers, Home & Garden has announced the appointment of Chris Freeman as senior key account manager for its Commercial Sales business in the Americas effective March 2015. In his new position, Freeman is responsible for managing the relationships with the company’s vegetative Root n’ Sell partners as well as seed plug producers. He will also oversee the genetics brokerage operations in Latin America with a focus on strategic planning and growth.
Freeman, who joined Syngenta in 2006, carries more than 25 years of experience in the agriculture and floriculture business having held key positions at leading floriculture breeders. Previously, he also served as a regional specialist and associate professor of Horticulture at Colorado State University.
“Chris’ vast experience in both the industry and with Syngenta, provide a great platform for him for this new role,” said Sean Valk, head of commercial sales, Syngenta Flowers Home & Garden. “His history and diversified knowledge will help improve our Root ‘n Sell partnerships and we are excited by what the future holds.”
Freeman holds a Master’s degree in Horticulture with a focus on greenhouse business management from Texas A&M University.
