The Sidney B. Meadows Scholarship Endowment Fund is reminding all horticulture students who are residents of the 16 southeastern states, application deadline for 2014 awards is May 30, 2014. The fund is expecting to award as much as $18,000 through $1,500 scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded July 23 during Southern Nursery Association’s SNA 2014 in Atlanta, GA. Complete eligibility requirements and applications are available through the fund’s website at: www.sbmsef.org or by calling the fund office.
Created in 1989 by the Southern Nursery Association (SNA), the Sidney B. Meadows Scholarship Endowment Fund is a 501 (c) 3 charitable foundation providing academic scholarships to students in the sixteen southeastern states. Since its inception, the fund has awarded $419,000 in scholarships and today the Fund’s balance is now over $800,000.
