SATO America helps bolster The Salvation Army of the Carolinas

SATO America, a Charlotte, N.C.-based provider of thermal barcode printing, labeling and EPC/RFID solutions for the horticulture industry made a $5,000 donation to The Salvation Army of the Carolinas. With a majority of SATO America’s employees living throughout North and South Carolina, SATO’s donation to The Salvation Army of the Carolinas will benefit individuals within their communities.

“Being involved philanthropically is very important to us,” stated Bob Linse, president of SATO America. “We were fortunate to be able to support The Salvation Army of the Carolina’s mission during this special time of year. We hope to become an active sponsor of their mission year round.” SATO has a strong desire to fulfill their corporate social responsibility by contributing a share of its various resources to society. “When the opportunity presented itself to support The Salvation Army, we did not hesitate,” continued Linse. “SATO America and its employees choose to give back to an organization that provides essential, fundamental services to individuals in need.”

"We are seeing an increased need, not only during the holidays but year round," said Major John Edmonds, commanding officer for York, Lancaster and Chester Counties of South Carolina. "Partnerships like this one enable us to fulfill our mission of 'doing the most good.'"

“This will allow us to help the tens of thousands of people throughout our community who are in need,” said Major Bobby Lancaster, Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army for the greater Charlotte area.

The Salvation Army is able to provide assistance to over 30 million Americans each year through a broad array of social services. Organizations such as the Salvation Army rely on donations in order to offer services such as providing food for the hungry, shelter, and job placement for the homeless, relief for natural disaster victims and so much more. About 82 cents of every dollar raised is used directly to support these services in over 5,000 communities throughout the United States.
