SePRO has announced the launch of the insecticide Rycar.
Rycar is a completely unique chemistry with a novel mode of action. Rycar is not a neonicotinoid. Rycar excels in controlling whiteflies (both B- and Q-biotypes), aphids, mealybugs, leafhoppers, and chili thrips. Rycar is a powerful new tool for growers to battle these insect pests while balancing the need to utilize alternative, softer chemistries. In addition to being a softer chemistry with low use rates, Rycar is also effective on pests resistant to traditional pesticide classes such as neonicotinoids, pyrethroids and organophosphates. Rycar has also been shown to be very gentle on a wide array of beneficial insects.
Target pests exposed to Rycar stop feeding immediately. Rycar reduces vector-viral transmission and has complete translaminar movement through the leaf, providing improved control of pests that feed and dwell on the under sides of leaves. Once movement into the leaf occurs, Rycar maintains consistent efficacy for up to 21 days.
Key features and benefits of Rycar:
- New chemistry with a unique MOA
- Great alternative to neonicotinoids
- Superior whitefly (B- and Q-biotypes) and aphid control
- Immediate stop-feed
- Significantly reduces virus transmission
- Gentle on beneficials
