Last month, The New Jersey Nursery and Landscape Association announced the 2021 winner of its Young Professional of the Year Award is Ryan Overdevest.
Ryan is the CFO for Overdevest Nurseries in Bridgeton, N.J. – a wholesale nursery growing over 2,000 varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental grasses. Ryan’s responsibilities range from office to production activities including inventory management, production goals, pricing strategy, web presence, HR, and special projects. Before officially joining the family business in 2015, Ryan was a sell-side, merger, and acquisition advisor for family and private-equity backed middle market companies. Ryan received his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BBA from The College of William & Mary. While his competitive soccer playing days are over, he looks forward to being a fan for his twin boys (5 years old) and daughter (2 years old).
