PBH Nature’s Media Amendment is a rice hull product from Riceland Foods, Inc. and the perfect replacement for perlite in greenhouse growing media. Uniquely processed and parboiled to verify purity, PBH offers a lower basic cost than perlite and is dramatically less dusty in the mixing environment.

PBH Nature’s Media Amendment provides the physical size, shape and bulking properties to produce optimum growing mix porosity, drainage and stability with little or no adjustment to fertility and irrigation. Highly compressed when packaged in a 50-lb. standard bag or a 30-cu.-ft. bulk bale, PBH lowers freight costs, generates less waste, minimizes storage and handling and reduces labor. The volume of approximately seven truckloads of PBH equals the volume of approximately 10 truckloads of perlite.

As a by-product of rice, PBH Nature’s Media Amendment is a renewable resource supporting sustainable plant production. It is OMRI Listed® and WSDA registered and suitable for both organic and traditional plant production.
