The U.S. EPA has developed a new process for public review of potential new pesticide active ingredients and certain new pesticide uses. The public can now review and comment on the risk assessments and proposed registration decisions for certain pesticide registration actions. This public process, which expands the transparency of the EPA’s pesticide registration decisions, applies to new pesticide active ingredients, and the first food use, first outdoor use and first residential use for currently registered active ingredients.
