This new 15 cell sleeve and tray growing system for trees and shrubs is designed for use with Ellepot inserts.
The sleeves hold the Ellepots and allow air movement, drainage and 'air pruning' of the root system. The system is designed to support the plants' developing root systems and stop them from drying out too fast.
Once the trees reach the grower's desired size, the Ellepot insert can be removed, packaged and sent to the field or customer without any plastic leaving the nursery. This ensures trays never go missing.
The material is injection-molded plastic and includes a 12 x 20 inch tray and 15 removable sleeves. Each sleeve holds an 8 inch Ellepot with a 80 mm diameter. The tray holds a more shallow, 4 inch, 80 mm Ellepot. The system is compatible with mechanization, making it a good fit for traditional nurseries or nurseries that have incorporated automation into production tasks. The sleeve can be lifted out manually or mechanically, and slots easily into the tray. There are several version of tray available. Visit the web site for more information.
