A plant never forgets?

Researchers set out to discover whether plants can "learn" over time, according to an article from the New York Times.

Researchers at the University of Florence in Italy wanted to find out if they could modify plants' behavior using physical cues to train them, thus discovering whether plants could "learn" or have memories, according to an article in the New York Times. They picked a plant that could give physical clues and responses -- Mimosa pudica or touch-me-not -- which coils its leaves when touched. Read the article in the New York Times to find out the results of the study.
