The Supertunia series is well, super sized, in the number of colors that are available. Although cultural information is pretty much uniform across the series, I’m focusing on Raspberry Blast from this Proven Winners series.
Why Raspberry Blast? Partly because I love the almost psychedelic rose-pink and cerise flowers that cascade down the sides of pots. Also, because Raspberry Blast was the winner of the 2006 GMPRO Best New Variety at the OFA Short Course.
Plants finish in four to six weeks for 4- to 5-inch pots. For 10- to 12-inch pots, eight to 10 weeks are needed. Apply a spray of 10-15 parts per million Sumagic or a 1-3 ppm Bonzi drench to control growth, if needed.
Plants reach 6-10 inches tall and are fairly low maintenance.
