Pest quarantine updates

APHIS has amended pest quarantines in several states for emerald ash borer, gypsy moth and pine shoot beetles.

* Expanded emerald ash borer quarantines are: Charles County, Md.; Upper Peninsula and Delta, Houghton, Keweenaw, Mackinac and Schoolcraft counties, Mich.; Houston County, Minn.; Wayne County, Mo.; Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, Mercer and Mifflin counties, Pa.; cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park, Va. And Arlington, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudon and Prince William counties, Va.; Fayette County, W.V.; and Crawford, Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Vernon and Washington counties, Wis.

* Gypsy moth infested areas now include: Cook, Du Page and McHenry counties, Ill.; St. Joseph County, Ind.; parts of Aroostook County, Franklin County (Eusis area), Penobscot County (Pattern area), parts of Piscataquis County, and East Moxie Township, Maine; Morrow County, Ohio; and Montgomery County, Va.

* Additions to the pine shoot beetle quarantines are: The entire state of Ohio; Greene County, Ind.; and Androscoggin, Cumberland, Hancock, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Sagadahoc, Somerset, Waldo and York counties, Maine.
