PBI-Gordon issues recommendations for Zylam use on spotted lanternfly

PBI-Gordon Corporation recently issued Section 2(ee) recommendations for use of Zylam liquid systemic insecticide for the control of spotted lanternfly. The invasive insect has spread throughout several states in the northeastern U.S. and has been known to weaken or kill a wide range of fruit crops, and ornamental and timbering trees in the region. 

 

This additional use recommendation is permitted under Section 2(ee) of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act in the following states but has not been submitted or approved by the EPA: Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The Section 2(ee) recommendations for these states can be downloaded here. The applicator must have a copy of the recommendation present when treating for spotted lanternfly.

 

A 24(c) Special Local Need Labeling has been issued for distribution and use only within the state of New York for control of spotted lanternfly on tree of heaven. The applicator must have a copy present when treating for spotted lanternfly.

 

An IRAC Group 4 insecticide, Zylam is formulated to deliver fast and effective insect control.
