Updated May 17: READ the details of the final overtime rule here.
AmericanHort and the Partnership to Protect Workplace Opportunity (PPWO) continue to advocate and support legislation that would require the Labor Department to conduct a detailed economic analysis before making expected dramatic changes to federal overtime pay requirements.
AmericanHort and more than 330 other national, regional, state, and local organizations joined in signing letters urging Members of Congress to cosponsor and support S. 2707 and H.R. 4773, the Protecting Workplace Advancement and Opportunity Act. The legislation would require the DOL to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the impact on career development and workplace flexibility and on small businesses, nonprofits, and local governments before moving forward with its proposed changes.
