OHP Inc. has introduced Sirocco miticide/insecticide to the production ornamentals market. It is a broad-spectrum miticide and insecticide that provides control of a variety of mites including two-spotted spider mite, spruce spider mite, cyclamen mite, broad mite, bud mite, and southern red mite. Additionally, Sirocco provides control of insects such as leafminers as well as suppression of aphids, thrips and whiteflies.
Sirocco is a combination of the active ingredients bifenazate and abamectin providing two different modes of action. It has translaminar activity.
Sirocco can be used on ornamental plants such as bedding and foliage plants, bulb crops, perennials, and shrubs and trees, including non-bearing fruit trees grown in greenhouses, shadehouses, nurseries, landscapes and interiorscapes.
