Ohio State to offer course on Latinos

An increasing number of immigrant workers are being employed in the floriculture industry. Ohio State University assistant horticulture professor Claudio Pasian is trying to prepare students for a career in which they may work alongside or supervisor Latino workers by offering a class.

Starting this fall, Pasian will teach a new course, The Latino Workforce, to examine issues faced by immigrant agriculture workers. Cultural, historical and legal issues affecting workplace relations will be covered.
