Nursery Management honored with 2018 ASBPE awards

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio – Nursery Management magazine, a B-2-B publication serving the wholesale nursery industry, won several regional awards from the The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) during an April 20 event.

ASBPE, the professional association for full-time and freelance editors, writers, art directors, and designers employed in the business, trade, and specialty press, presented Nursery Management with four awards for 2018. The winning entries were counted under the ASBPE's Heartland Region, an area including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Kelli Rodda, editor of Nursery Management magazine, received a regional gold-level award for “Trailblazer,” the January 2017 cover story on Steve Black and Raemelton Farm.

Matt McClellan, managing editor of Nursery Management magazine, received a regional gold-level award for “Burning bright,” the September 2017 cover story on Spring Meadow Nursery.

Tiana Kropko, graphic designer of Nursery Management magazine, received a regional bronze-level design award for the 2017 State of the Industry report, “Purpose & Perseverance.” This entry is also a finalist for the National Azbee Awards of Excellence in the Infographics design category.

Contributing writer/editor Brooke Bilyj won a regional silver award for her cover story “Strength in Unity,” about the Florida nursery industry's recovery from Hurricane Irma. Brooke also received three other awards for other GIE Media, Inc. publications.
