The Nursery Growers of Lake County, Ohio, Inc. has scheduled its 51st annual Summer Field Day for Tuesday, Aug. 14.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is hosted by Chalet Debonné Vineyards in Madison, Ohio. Ticket price includes a sit-down lunch. Pre-registration is $20 ($18 for students) and $25 at the door.
Attendees can connect with hundreds of exhibitors and other attendees, see new products and catch up on research from Ohio State University extension partners, all in a relaxed setting.
Several honors will be awarded at the Field Day, including:
Honorarium Award
• For continuous contribution to the NGLCO and the nursery industry throughout their career.
Outstanding in the Field Award
• For outstanding contribution to the NGLCO and the nursery industry in the sales and production aspects of the industry.
Emeritus Award
• For outstanding contribution to the NGLCO and Nursery Industry. Offered to those that are nearing retirement or are retired from the Nursery Industry or affiliated industries.
Young Professional Award
• For those somewhat newer to the Industry but who have contributed new ideas, new concepts, new processes and general leadership to the industry.
