We’re proud to announce J. Frank Schmidt as the 2009 NMPro Grower of the Year. Frank is president and CEO of J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. in Boring, Ore. He’s a third-generation nurseryman, and his father was the first NMPro Grower of the Year in 1997. J. Frank Schmidt & Son grows deciduous shade and flowering trees, and specialty ornamentals on 2,500 acres across 5 farms. The company has introduced more than 70 trees.
