Raymond Miller, Nursery Specialist, Dow AgroSciences, will discuss the industry’s
Best Management Practices on developing a successful weed management program.
His presentation will cover proper weed identification and the importance of understanding
the biological properties of weed development to determine the most effective
methods of weed control. He will discuss weed prevention strategies, crop safety, the
economics of combining hand weeding, pre- and postchemical treatments, treatment preparation, timing, proper equipment calibration, and as well as rate calculations.
