Williams Forestry has sold Native Forest Nursery of Chatsworth, Georgia, to Chad Casselman, who has been managing the company for the last eight years. The sale of the nursery was completed in November 2024.
Native Forest Nursery is a supplier of native tree and shrub material to the restoration, conservation, nursery and landscape industries. The nursery grows more than 10 million bare root seedlings from seed, as well as several hundred thousand container-grown plants annually.
Williams Forestry & Associates has been providing services in the reforestation industry for more than 35 years. With offices in Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia, the company provides reforestation services throughout the eastern U.S.
Williams Forestry had owned Native Forest Nursery for 16 years. Bowater Paper Company founded the nursery in 1968 to grow pine seedlings for reforesting its company timberlands. Bowater in 1974 relocated it to the current site, where it remains today.
