CHICAGO -- Midwest Groundcovers has announced the addition of Tom Foley to its sales team, effective Feb. 17.
“We are very excited to have Tom on board,” said Christa Orum-Keller, vice president of sales and marketing for Midwest. “His twenty-five-plus years of industry experience will not only allow us to continue to serve our current customers and vendors, but also help our company bring in new accounts and expand our product offerings.”
Before joining the Midwest team, Foley worked as the supply chain manager at Ball Ornamentals, a company that focuses on research, breeding, marketing, and plant distribution. Here he managed the global supply chain, new product development for North America, and new product sourcing for North America, Japan, and Europe. Prior to that nine-year position, Foley was the National new products manager for Hines Nurseries in California. He began his professional career as the garden center manager for a nursery in Greensboro, N.C.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to work with strong sales, marketing and production teams,” says Foley. “Midwest Groundcovers is an industry leader in customer relations, and the company offers a variety of product customization and value-added services. The Midwest team works to build lasting customer relationships and value by offering a wide assortment of shrubs, perennials, groundcovers and native plants. “
Foley has a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with a concentration in landscape design from North Carolina State University, and specializes in new product development and nursery management, specifically production and sales.
