Ten gardening products received the Mailorder Gardening Association’s 2008 Green Thumb Award earlier this year. Winners were chosen by an independent panel of garden writers and editors.
This year’s plant winners are: petunia ‘Opera Supreme Lilac Ice’ from Park Seed, Changing Colors dahlia from Dutch Gardens, April in Paris and Lovestruck roses from Jackson & Perkins and peony ‘Bartzella’ from Wayside Gardens.
Winners in the tools, supplies and accessories categories are: Escar-Go! Supreme slug and snail killer from Gardens Alive!, Nature’s Avenger Organic Herbicide and Kombi Forever Shovel, both from Beaty Fertilizer Inc., PotHoles Drainage Discs from Aspen West Partners and Essex Plant Supports from Gardener’s Supply.
