McHutchison has announced the new identity of its united company, which formerly operated as McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture and has now consolidated both entities into a single organization to better serve its customers and partners across the industry.
The refreshed brand and new visual identity officially launched at Cultivate'25 in Columbus, Ohio. The company's origins were in historic seed houses before becoming a full-service plant partner for both greenhouse and nursery growers.
“This represents far more than a shift in branding,” said McHutchison President Ken Turrentine. “It’s a thoughtful step forward, one that respects our shared history while bringing together our collective strengths to better serve our customers. Uniting under the McHutchison name simplifies the way that growers connect with the expertise, resources and relationships they count on to succeed.”
Having origins dating back to 1876 with Vaughan’s Seed Co. and 1902 with McHutchison, the newly unified McHutchison brings together nearly 150 years of industry expertise. Key milestones in the company’s evolution include the acquisition of Skidelsky & Co. in 1984, the formation of Vaughan’s Horticulture in 2012 and joining the Dümmen Orange North America family in 2017.
This recent unification will work on providing integrated support across both greenhouse and nursery operations, expanded digital platforms to streamline orders, insights and communication and stronger supplier partnerships.
McHutchison has unveiled a new web shop experience at mchutchison.com. This updated digital platform gives customers new tools to explore product availability, place and manage orders and access their accounts with greater efficiency.
