McHutchison, a U.S. horticultural distributor serving North American greenhouse and nursery markets, has hired industry veteran Brian Snyder as a sales representative in the company’s nursery division, where he will cover the Michigan, Indiana and Ohio region.
The company has also promoted David Clark to western regional sales manager.
Snyder’s career began in his family’s wholesale nursery business before working for several major industry suppliers, including Carlton Plants (now Bailey Nurseries), Van Essen Nursery and Macore Labels (now Select Impressions). Most recently, Snyder represented Sester Farms, where he sold in the same territory that he will now serve for McHutchison.
He brings a strong understanding of greenhouse and nursery operations to McHutchison as well as vast experience with the unique needs of growers across the Midwest, the company said. With extensive product knowledge, a customer-focused approach and established regional relationships, Snyder will help to strengthen McHutchison’s ability to support its growing customer base, the company added.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brian to our team,” said Ken Turrentine, president of McHutchison. “His experience, professionalism and genuine passion for the industry align perfectly with our longstanding commitment to providing exceptional service and expertise to our valued customers.”
Clark joined McHutchison in 2022 as a sales representative for Southern California. During his tenure, he has delivered increased sales, built strong customer partnerships and demonstrated a commitment to supporting growers and suppliers throughout the region, the company said.
In his new role, Clark will oversee sales strategy, team leadership and regional growth initiatives across the western U.S.
He previously served in key roles in his family’s retail and wholesale floral businesses as well as senior leadership positions across several organizations in the horticulture industry prior to his arrival at McHutchison.
“David’s dedication, expertise and deep industry roots make him an invaluable asset to our organization,” Turrentine said. “His leadership approach, customer focus and strong vision for the western region align perfectly with our mission to elevate the value that we deliver to growers and partners. We’re excited to see him handle this role and continue driving growth across the territory.”
