Join keynote speaker Peter Walker, senior partner of PWP Landscape Architecture and co-designer of the National September 11 Memorial, along with professionally diverse, nationally recognized experts at a daylong symposium on legacy trees on Thursday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Alsdorf Auditorium in Chicago.
Participants will also be able to explore trees as engines of economic development with research social scientist Kathleen Wolf, how pests affect the sustainability of the urban forest with entomologist Michael Raupp, legacy trees in historic Chicago parks with preservationist Julia Bachrach and the challenges of urban soils with tree researcher Kelby Fite.
The event, presented by Bartlett Tree Experts and the Chicago Botanic Garden, will also be an opportunity to network with landscape architects, architects, planners, parks professionals, grounds managers and more.
