Engine maker Cummins Inc. will build a new, light-duty diesel that will be offered in the next generation of the Nissan Titan pickup, but the engine will also be available for other commercial customers.
The 5-liter turbocharged engine is in the final stages of development and testing, and will produce more than 300 horsepower and torque ratings in the mid-500 pound-feet range, Nissan said in a statement.
