SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Nursery and Landscape Association is now accepting online registration for its 2010 Expo. The expo allows professionals to showcase trends in the industry, network and learn about new products.
The expo runs August 19-22 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio and will feature three keynote speakers.
Paul Fisher will share the latest research on water quality, treatment and plant nutrition. He will discuss plant health issues and fertilizer options. Fisher directs two groups focused on applied research and extension for horticulture.
Dwight Hughes Sr., who operates a landscape nursery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, will discuss landscape installation. He will explain the personnel management skills needed to be successful in today’s marketplace.
Robert Hendrickson will discuss the role gardening has in customers’ lives. Hendrickson, the retail keynote speaker, has more than 30 years of experience assisting garden centers with operational issues.
The expo will also feature events to help with education and training.
