Village Nurseries hosts open house

ORANGE, Calif. --Village Nurseries Wholesale, a specialty grower for landscape professionals, will host a formal grand opening and open house for landscape architects, landscape designers and landscape contractors at its recently acquired Miramar Super Landscape Center in San Diego on April 4 from 11 am to 4 pm at 5400 Governor Drive.

Keynote speakers at the celebratory event will be Suzie Wiest, Village Nurseries regional marketing representative; Robert Bett, CEO, PlantHaven, Inc.; and Kathy Rudnyk, specialty accounts manager, Monrovia Growers.

The Super Landscape Center offers a huge selection of 1-gallon through 36" box trees, shrubs, colors, vines, natives, perennials, roses, citrus, shade plants, patio trees, and specialty plants, as well as a wide array of hard-goods inventory, including bulk amendments such as mulch, DG and road base. Synthetic turf with everything needed for installation, including decomposed road base, is also now available.

To make it easier for landscape professionals to quickly find what they need, Village Nurseries has consolidated its large diversity of plant material into a convenient 13-acre section. There are four new drive-through check-out booths equipped with a new point-of-sale system for more efficient and quicker check-out. Orders can be completely staged and ready for pickup, or plants can be delivered directly to the job site.

There have been many other quality improvements to better service the landscape professional such as a huge shade house, many 15-gallon and 24” box specimens, and individual shade houses for specific classes of plants such as azaleas, gardenias, ferns, and camellias. The new 1- gallon section consists of basic shrubs, color and ground cover plants. There is also an extensive selection of succulents from 4” to 24” boxes and new displays showcasing Monrovia, Sunset plants, and fresh sod ready for pick up.
