USDA-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has expanded the quarantine area for light brown apple moth (Epiphyas postvittana) in California to include Santa Barbara County. This is a result of LBAM detections in Santa Barbara in November 2009. The quarantine now covers 18 counties in California and all counties in Hawaii.
Regulated articles that may not be moved interstate from quarantine areas except in accordance with the Federal Order include: nursery stock, cut flowers, cut trees and shrubs, garlands, wreaths, greenery and other green waste of any plants.
