According to a news release from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF), the professional horticulture license exam process will improve thanks to a computer-based system switch.
One of the biggest benefits is that individuals who take the test at a satellite office will now receive test scores immediately. In the past, satellite test-takers had to wait more than a week for results.
Per a quote from the release, LDAF Commissioner Mike Strain, D.V.M., said, “We are excited about the new computer-based horticulture-license exams which have streamlined the testing process while maintaining the integrity of the exams."
The addition follows suit to the other horticulture computer-based license exams, which now include: Landscape Horticulturist, Landscape Irrigation Contractor, Arborist, Utility Arborist, Retail Florist and Wholesale Florist.
