This week marks the 24th annual Long Island Horticulture Conference. The event takes place Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
Landscapers, nursery growers, arborists, landscape designers, turf managers and others in the horticulture industry are invited to attend. The morning general session features a session on disease management for boxwood blight in nurseries and the landscape. The afternoon nursery breakout session includes presentations on P. ramorum, micronutrient deficiencies in trees and shrubs, and a breakdown of 2013's most dangerous pests.
