Jim Mason of Country Landscapes, Inc. in Ames, Iowa, has been elected President of the Western Nursery and Landscape Association. The Western Nursery and Landscape Association’s members from 35 states and Canada are landscape contractors, landscape architects and designers, independent garden centers, growers, and other green industry professionals.
The Association’s annual trade show and education event, The National Green Centre, features world-renowned industry speakers, networking opportunities, and a wide range of industry exhibitors. The 2011 National Green Centre will be held Jan. 9-10 in St. Louis, Mo.
Mason has a degree in landscape architecture from Iowa State University. In 1981, he co-founded Country Landscapes, Inc., a design/build operation where Mason spearheads the marketing, design and sales portion of the business. In addition to the Ames location, Country Landscapes has operations in North Liberty and Clear Lake, Iowa. Country Landscapes works with any type of design/build project, from residential to large public and commercial projects.
