The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Trees back in print

The book's second edition was published June 19.

The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Trees, a resource cataloging the nearly 2,000 species and cultivars of trees of North America and Europe, is back in print with a second edition.

The new edition of David More and John White's comprehensive resource was published on June 19 from Princeton University Press. The encyclopedia is the recipient of National Arbor Day Foundation Media Award. It features more than 5,000 informative illustrations.

More spent more than a decade creating precise paintings of important details of trees -- leaves, bark, needles, blossoms, fruit, nuts and cones. These paintings are accompanied by expert text from White, a former research dendrologist  at the U.K.'s Forestry Commission.

The 832-page book is priced at $49.95.
