From the beginning, GrowIt! has had a mission to help the horticultural industry. The idea was to cultivate new gardeners, and inspire more people to grow plants. Over the past two years, GrowIt! has gathered more than 250,000 community members (half of which are under the age of 35) towards that goal.
After compiling the needs of community members last fall, the GrowIt! team found that members were looking for something more. They loved how much plant information they could find on the app, but they wanted to know where to buy those plants they were seeing.
GrowIt! has solved that problem by launching a new platform for Independent garden centers. Now, IGCs can sign up to be a GrowIt! Garden Shop. This way, new gardeners and community members near them can find garden centers in their specific areas. It’s a way for garden centers to become more visible to people in their area. IGCs can also post pictures of items they currently have in stock to spur more traffic on the platform and to their locations, according to a press release.
The program is limited to independent garden centers, nurseries and retail greenhouses. For more information, visit retailers.growitmobile.com/apply
