Garden Debut, a program created by Greenleaf Nursery and a consortium of plant breeders and growers, will start appearing on garden center benches this spring. Garden Debut is a branding program dedicated to the introduction and marketing of new and improved plant varieties for the landscape.
Jim Thompson, vice president of Greenleaf Nursery, said there will be a limited roll-out of the brand this spring, with much wider availability in 2011. The Garden Debut team is currently trialing even more plant material to add to the program’s lineup next year.
Garden Debut plants come in branded containers with tags that included detailed care instructions.
