As part of the Tropical Plant International Expo in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., attendees can now register for the Foliage Nursery Production Tour. The tour takes place Tuesday, Jan. 16, from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $60 if you register by Jan. 5 and $75 if you register after that date. A boxed lunch is included.
The tour will visit three nurseries in the Palm Beach area: Excelsa Gardens, Inc., Gray's Ornamentals, and K & M Nursery.
Located on 30 acres, Excelsa Gardens is a family-owned business with a large assortment of unusual tropical foliage and flowering plants. On this stop, you'll see heliconias, gingers, bananas, palms, alocasias, ferns, bromeliads and orchids.
With more than 25 years of experience, Gray's Ornamentals grows roughly 200 varieties of plants. Their team's consistency and dependability have helped them build lasting relationships with independent retailers, wholesale distributors and landscapers.
K&M Nursery prides itself on growing plants with the highest level of quality for independent garden centers. The nursery includes more than 50 acres of production, and is adding more varieties of plants each year.
