FMC Corporation recently named Allan Dufoe as Turf & Ornamental Key account manager with primary responsibility for the nursery and greenhouse market.
In his new role, Dufoe will focus on providing support for selected key accounts, as well as serving and growing FMC’s presence in the nursery/greenhouse industry. Most recently, Dufoe was a market specialist for FMC, covering the Turf & Ornamental market for the Mid-Atlantic region.
"Allan has a keen sense of customer focus and consistently demonstrates commitment and enthusiasm in whatever he takes on,” said Maureen Thompson, business manager for FMC’s Turf & Ornamental Solutions group. “His field experience, product knowledge and technical expertise make him ideally suited for this role.”
Dufoe, a native of New Hampshire, joined FMC in 1996 as a technical sales representative in the Specialty Products Business, providing support and training for the Pest Management Professional industry. In 2011, he became a market specialist for the Turf & Ornamental market, working closely with customers to provide timely service solutions and product support.
In addition to writing multiple articles on insect control, Dufoe has presented technical papers at many scientific and industry meetings, both in the Structural Pest Control and Turf & Ornamental industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology from the University of New Hampshire and will receive a Master of Science degree in Agriculture and Life Sciences from Virginia Polytechnic and State University in 2014.
