The Horticultural Research Institute is asking the industry to support the development of a biodegradable container. The keratin containers are made from chicken feathers. HRI has negotiated an exclusive license from the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service on behalf of the nursery industry for the commercial production of these containers. HRI expects these pots to be commercially available during the next couple of years.
