Dow AgroSciences has changed its label for Conserve SC turf and ornamental insect control to reinforce its resistance management. The maximum number of consecutive applications of the insecticide has been reduced from three to two. If additional treatments are required after two consecutive applications, it is recommended that another class of insecticide is rotated for at least two applications. The maximum number of Conserve SC applications that can be made per year is six.
Chilli thrips have also been added to the label. Conserve SC can be used to control a variety of thrips, as well as leafminers, spider mites, black cutworms, fall armyworms and gypsy moth larvae.
Spinosad is the chemical’s active ingredient. It can be used in greenhouses, nurseries, golf courses and commercial and residential lawns.
