Color Spot CEO dead at age 61

Michael Vukelich was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year

Michael Vukelich, founder, chairman and CEO of Color Spot Nurseries Inc, one of the largest nursery growers in the U.S., died at home in Orinda, Calif., Aug. 26. He was 61 years old and had been diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Karla, and their children Max, Christabella, Michael Paul and Trisha; and parents Michael J. and Glenna Vukelich; his sisters Patricia, Mary and Michelle, and brother Mark.
