CNLA hosts nursery, landscape education events

Summer Twilight Series to consist of three separate events.

The Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association is hosting a Summer Twilight Series for nursery and landscape professionals.


The events taking place in the series are as follows:

Topic: Compost: Improving Soil Quality, Productivity, and the Impact on Pesticide Choice & Mobility
Who: Dr. W. Michael Sullivan, University of Rhode Island and John Kinchla, Amherst Nurseries, Amherst, Mass. 
Grow bags: From Nursery Production to the Landscape.
Where: Northern Nurseries, 1320 Mountain Rd., West Suffield, Conn.

Topic: Carbon Footprint of Landscape Trees During Production, Distribution and Useful Life as the Basis for Climate Change Remediation, Plant Health and Market Differentiation

Topic: Cover Crops: A Valuable IPM Tool for Nursery and Landscape Operations

There will be a risk management and crop insurance update at the start of all 3 programs.


Refreshments will be provided by the location host at each gathering.
