APHIS has prepared an environmental assessment concerning a proposed control program for citrus greening disease and the Asian citrus psyllid. The assessment documents APHIS’ review and analysis of the potential environmental impacts associated with the program’s implementation.
The proposed control program includes: soil drenches, in-ground granular treatments, foliar treatments, fumigation and mandatory labeling to alert consumers of federal movement restrictions of regulated citrus products.
The assessment is available for public review and comment. The deadline for comments is Nov. 9.
