Goldsmith Seeds’ Jester series has been around for awhile, although the company has added new colors to refresh the series.
Jester series members are perfect to add a vibrant color splash to the indoors as a pot crop. Some members have a distinct white halo around the flower center (Blue Bicolor, Carmine Bicolor, Crimson Bicolor, Pink Bicolor, Scarlet Bicolor), while others are “pure” colors (Pure Carmine, Pure Light Yellow, Pure Pink, Pure White).
Plants have smaller leaves that make sleeving pots easier for growers.
Goldsmith recommends a chilling period after eight to 10 leaves have developed to promote earlier flowering and larger flower heads. Growth regulators are not necessary.
Jester members should be sown from September to January for January to April sales.
